ENDORSEMENTS FOR OCEANSIDE CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES ANNOUNCED BY LOCAL REPUBLICAN ORGANIZATIONS

Oceanside Republican Women’s Federated, The National Republican Hispanic Assembly, Western Region, and the Republican Club of North County have endorsed incumbent Oceanside Councilman Jack Feller and long time Vista Unified School District Board Chairman Jim Gibson for seats on the Oceanside City Council for the November election.  These three active Republican organizations will be forwarding their recommendations to the County of San Diego Republican Central Committee in hopes that Feller and Gibson will also secure the County Party ’s endorsement.

           The popular Feller will be seeking his third term on the council, while Gibson is running for the seat for the first time.  Gibson is a local resident, business owner and is serving his second year as Chairman of the Vista Unified School District , having been a member of that Board for ten years. VUSD’s school campuses encompass approximately 1/3 of the Oceanside ’s city boundaries.

           These recommendations were made after a lengthy interview process conduct by the three groups, plus local party representatives
